The Philippines’ headline inflation hit 3.8 percent in April 2024 up from 3.7 percent the previous month, data from Philippine Statistics Authority showed. Philippine Statistics Authority Usec. Claire Dennis Mapa said the main drivers of the increase in the April inflation rate are the rise in food and transport inflation, which were at 6 percent and 2.6 percent respectively. Rice inflation slightly dropped, but prices remain elevated.   #Inflation #Bigas #Economy
